When measuring your head size, use a soft measuring tape and wrap it around where you want your hat to sit — typically just above your ears and eyebrows.

Pull the tape snug, but stay comfortable — just as tight as you’d like your hat to feel.

To figure out the shape of your head, use a smooth wire and gently wrap it around your head—just like you did with the measuring tape.

Twist the wire closed, then gently lift it off your head.
Next, compare it to the shapes on this guide and see which one fits you best.

If you don’t have wire but can try on hats, pay attention to where your head feels the most pressure — that’s where your shape is telling you what it needs.

Hat size conversion and head shape chart displaying hat sizes in small, medium, large, X-large, and XX-large against head circumference in inches, along with oval head shape categories: extra long oval, long oval, oval, and round.
